'Stargate' Animation- Gerard Gittens Artwork- This was a fun animation challenge. The idea at first was to record the actual piece and place it on this outer space background, but we didn't have the best photography and video equipment on hand (a phone camera, shaky hands, and subpar lighting) 

I instead used a good quality photo already on hand and animated the spinning elements on the piece separately before combining it with the outer space background.

Photoshop was used to separate the spinning elements from the rest of the artwork and I animated everything in Blender's video editor.
